Well, it finally came in the mail last night... It even came with pictures of the accident, too... Pretty graphic stuff... So now i'm the proud owner of a piece of a charred NNO brake rotor... :)

    Here are the pictures...

Is it just me or does it look like all 4 wheels are intact? I can clearly see two good rotors on one side and I think the other side as well. So are you sure that isn't from '79 Pinto?

Yes... This accident was actually discussed extensively here and the brake rotor was spotted on eBay, so i bid and won... The seller lives in Texas and, i assume, was at the scene of the accident since the pictures are so up close and taken right after the fire was extinguished... i'm still trying to find out what the serial number is/was...

I heard the driver was OK and walked home. Apparently he has a habit of crashing nice cars

I think the majority of the damage was caused by the intensity of the fire, not the impact. Amazing how the composite body basically just disappeared. I hope we never see another Enzo meet this fate.

    i only see two wheels...

Greg, i'm right there with you, i hope this never happens to another one... Now we're down to 398... They're not exactly an abundance, that's for sure... Does anyone have any clue what the owner's name is or what the serial number is...? i just want the information for my file...

Carbon saw a commercial for Firemans Fund and THIS is what he bought.

NNO Carbon, you DON'T have a new insurance policy (but that is probably where your money went....to a fireman's fund :))!

Carbon, the owner has been discussed pretty extensively in the Texas section, I think under the Houston Ferrari Spotters thread. Check it out.

    Alan, where's my charred piece?

ok, this is going to sound insane, but I don't understand why the ENZO is called the NNO as well.

    Please don't hate me.

LOL... It's just my own creative spin on the spelling; just to be different... More than one N (2xN=NN) is pronounced Ns (enz); put an O at the end and what do you have...? :)

Doctor Shelbee, i agree, it's a damn shame...

Thrawn, laugh... but i will soon have my own Franken-Ferrari... MUAHAHAHA...!

LOL, Dave, it was (little) money well spent... i'm happy and in 20 years, people will marvel at such an awesome collector's item... :)

Jim, i'll check that thread, thanks...

ZJPJ, yeah, it's a really cool paper weight... i'm not sure where or how in the collection, i'll display it, but i'll figure something out... i might include it with the NNO registry...

Jimpo1, I'm checking my list of recipients and I don't have you on there!

I haven't finished up dividing the ashes and frags I have yet. I was hoping to come up with the hood emblem. The guy wanted $250 for it, and I agreed, but then he "no showed" on me!

In exchange for a donation to Child Advocates, you too can receive a bag of Enzo burned carbon fiber!

I found about three more rotor frags, I'm ear tagging them for Carbon!

Actually the right rear wheel must have hit the curb in the spin hard enough to shatter it! We found a pc. of the rim 10" long that was twisted like a pretzel!

I think that's the fireman, in the pic, that left holding the hood badge!
He's got big ones, selling on ebay! Jamail could probably get his job over it, if he wanted to.

They have bigger fish today at HFD. They lost a guy in an arson fire. A club of illegals were partying and a jealous husband burned the place down!

You gotta love those landscapers. Ole'

The descri[ption of our recovery is written in the (houston) Texas spotters thread. We searched the site two days after the wreck for scraps left there!

    Still made a big pile!

No, no wheels, but the missing one was shattered.

  21. Those brakes can survive 1400 Celius so the fire probley didnt damage them so bad. Sad Enzo

$10.50 seems a little pricey for a paperweight.
