YOU and many other users are as much to blame as allan. take some friggin responsibilty. YOU stir the pot up too and it just goes back and forth. now a ferrari owning member gets banned and we lose his contributions. some of which were great.................

 

omg I cant believe Allan was banned, that guy is known throughout all the car forums.

Allan unlike many of the members here (including myself) actually owns/owned several Ferraris' and is very knowledgeable giving both pros and cons of being a Ferrari owner. He makes the sight enjoyable because he always gives the other side of the story, if he is gone then this sight will turn like the S2000 board in which everyone always agrees with one another and thinks that their cars are built by god. boring.

Some of you guys need to grow a thicker skin. Allan is not some boogie-man that is going to hurt you, in reality he is stuck on an island in the pacific and chances are 99.99999999% that you are not going to met him in real life. This is a just a message board, nearly everyone here is anonymous s so who cares if he calls you out.

But he did have/was granted a *privilege* to be on the airwaves. He had his own way of pushing the envelope - now he's gone..but to restate:

Niether he nor you has has "EVERY RIGHT to say those things" on the air.

True, but the game doesn't continue onward without rebuttals from people that are just salivating for him to say 1 thing that is not pro-Ferrari. When you mix those people into the equation, who is worse? If we are going to start banning for that type of behavior, then there are probably 10-15 more people that should be considered. This whole situation is a bunch of BS.

 

hmm... while I am inclined to say that Allan is speaking his mind on a board hosted and administrated in a free country and can say whatever he darn well pleases... this is a privately owned/run message site.

It is the right and privilidge of Rob/FerrariChat to do this... regardless of the fact that I find the action severe.

Just pointing something out, it's just about the thicker skin, it's about the demographics of the users that visit this site as a few people have said already. The learning curve to master a forum (even more so vbull 3.x.x) is hell and even worse with all the flashy colors. (Sorry rob )

Most guys that have Ferrari's are idiots, plain and simple. Hell most people general are idiots, but am I talking about smartness general? No, I'm talking about computer / internet literacy. They see this thing and it says the "Bring Back Allan" Petition and they immediatley would think a form to sign up on or on to. Most of the banning isn't really about because Allan was dynamic, but more about the Ferrari folks that visited this site (it is Ferrarichat btw) just don't need or can take the time to learn the ins and outs of using the ignore feature, or staying here long enough to find out who is who.

I've been reading this board for around a year now. Don't post here much. But to tell you the truth this board hasn't been the greatest since Allan has left. I miss his comments

What's wrong with people? There are people dying in other countries fighting for our freedom and people wanna ***** because some Lambo owner on the internet made him cry.

I'm sorry but whoever Allan offended is a pansy. In a rough world like this you have to be able to defend yourself.

I say bring Allan back, it's your forum. But it'll be an emptier forum filled with people that can't stick up for themselves and cry when someone offends them on the internet.

I might not have many posts but I for one don't plan on visiting this forum much anymore. Not til Allan is back anyways.

Just be glad this isn't a business and you fired a valuable employee. That's what is different. You can do anything you want and no one can say anything about it. If people leave, do you care? No, because you don't lose money. But if this was a restaurant/club/ or anything else. You'd lose alot of customers.

Take what I said into consideration. Maybe you banned Allan but no reason to stay stubborn and not unban him. We all make mistakes and I hope you can correct this one.

All in all I like what you made this forum into. A great place with plenty of members. It's not to fast and it's not to slow for a forum. Unfortunantely Allan made a big part of F-chat for me. If anything get rid of that NNO moron, he is extremely annoying.

I couldnt agree more.You ban the guy that owns the Ferrari that argues with some kid(NNO) that doesnt own one.This NNO guy has 12000 posts and no Ferrari.Talk about a waste of bandwidth.How can this guy contribute anything useful without first hand experience.Did he sleep in a Holiday Inn last night and all of a sudden became some Ferrari expert?Then NNO is still stirring the pot in this thread when Allan cant even defend himself.

I came here to get info on Ferraris as Im interested in a 550.I want to hear the pros and the cons.Now everyone here is going to be scared to post how they really feel for fear of banishment.

In case you missed the news, he's a moderator for ferrarichat's competitor. That's why he'd stink up the joint.
It's like a Coke board booting a Pepsi guy who came over and stank up the joint.

Ask any 550 owners about 550 threads invaded & ruined by allanlambo.

For example, if you need info, anybody else would contribute info that they'd dig up - even if they didn't own one - in an effort to make your life easier. Allan would say "550 sucks."

Is that the useful 550 info you're looking for?

Same for other models - whether he owned or drove one, allanlambo contributed nothing when anyone asked about the care and feeding of a Ferrari.

See without Pepsi you would know how good Coke was.I know Allan is a Lambo Moderator as I currently own a 6.0,but Im a big boy and make my own decisions.I wouldnt let let a "550's suck" determine what I like,but without that, there wouldnt have been a barrage of magazine articles comparing the 550 to various cars and F-Chat owners arguing their opinions why the car didnt suck.I want to make an informed decision about a purchase like this.

Do you not think the gentlemen would be able to examine the ups and downs? I'm afraid you've missed many a thread old board and new, regarding many a car, Lamborghini models included in the past where Allan was on a road-trip, self-imposed exile- whatever - that went along informatively and smoothly.
