    This car with S/N 2101 was originally created in 1954 and first shown to the public at the Geneva Carshow in 1955. Afterwards it was sold to the first owner in Argentina. In the 70's is was rediscovererd by a Californian. Until Pebble Beach last year nothing was heard of the car. It is the only A6G Zagato Spider ever made and is therefore a real rarity. The old pic show its original appearance.

    Very nice, not as nice as an Aston DB4 GT Zagato!

    Zagato wasn't too adept at building spiders/convertibles - it just wasn't them (look at some of the Abarth 750GT spiders... Hideous), racing coupes were their thing.

    Boudewijn, so the old photo was how the Zagato body looked like originally? Why is it totally different today? Original body lost/destroyed?

    I've got no background information Peter. I agree there is a visual difference, I also suspect the car to have a complete new body, but that's speculation.
