Mine is at Lake Forest getting clutch work done at 5100 miles but mine is a 6 speed. No missed shifts or slipping the clutch. I was told that 99,00,01's have a bad seal design. Warranty claim though.

My 98 355 F1 had 5,600 miles when purchased and needed a new clutch, do not remember the percentage left. My understanding was the original owner used it in auto mode, no track time, and was a conservitive driver.

Alright My355 that's what we want to hear. If you do everything right, is a new clutch just the luck of the draw? Btw, I think this is a favorite item for the dealer to say needs to be done and replaced. Most people aren't going to argue it. An independant showed me a clutch that they claimed a dealer told the guy needed replacing and it didn't, all it needed was an adjustment.

Any 360 F1 high milers out there like My355?

not sure if you have any problems other than the parameter beeing off but make sure that they inspect the clutch visually and not only use the SD2 - I did ask my dealer once to check the clutch (the why is a different story) thinking that it would be a simple check with computer – they actually removed the underbody and opened the inspection hole and checked the clutch visually – go figure / I felt bad to cause so much trouble – reason is that the computed clutch wear parameter seems to be not very accurate – furthermore it has to be taken with a stone cold car (overnight stay) to be sensible since we are talking [mm], which would be impacted by heat expansion

At 16000 miles and 7 track weekends on my 360 F1 Spider, the throwout brg was replaced under warranty and while they were in there also replaced the clutch under warranty even though it was less than half worn.
