Our drive will take us through the back country roads of southern Wisconsin to beautiful Lake Delevan. We will stop for Sunday Champagne Brunch at Lake Lawn Resort early afternoon.

I have arranged "prefered parking" for your Ferrari. We will be parking in Lake Lawn's center courtyard. (see last year's pic attached)

All are invited to participate, so whether you are an FOC member, FCA member or F-Chat, you are invited.

Please respond to this thread if you will be particpating so I can get an accurate head count.

    Here's the details:

    Date: Sunday, April 18, 2004

Meeting Time: 10:30 AM Sharp !

Meeting Place: The NORTHBOUND Lake Forest Oasis parking lot on the I-94 Tristate Tollway. (see map attached)

Champagne Brunch Cost: $25.00 per person This includes tax & tip. Payable to the restaurant while dining.

I have laid out route maps which will be distributed to all particpants when we meet Sunday morning.

If you have a 14 channel walkie-talkie, please bring it along. They come in handy during these drives if someone in the convoy gets stuck at a traffic light.

So get your baby ready for our first driving event of the season !
See you on the 18th !

Uh, oh. I wonder who'll get the 12 Cylinder "prize" this time. In the past Billiam was the constant contender and winner.

Now we have Norm and Rocketboy lining up. Kewl.

Thanks to all for responding. Please monitor this thread as we approach the 18th for updates. It is only April in Chicago and weather could be an issue. A backup rain date for this event has been planned if bad weather becomes a problem.

    Stay tuned....

    Dave,

Do not know if I will be able to make it. I have clients in during that weekend that I must give attention to and go over some business details. Will hope to attend, but are leaning towards that I can not make it. If the weather permits, my European clients are being wined and dined by a fellow employee, and I have no girlfriend obligations, I will show in the 575 or even my H2, ( you never know if we need it for towing reasons or in case we get attacked by a rebel group or Iraqis. )
Who is confirmed? If possible please post a list as was the case with the go karting. Is Skip bringing out any of his babies?

    Forgot to ask...

With the growing number of baby Ferraris in the area, why don't we or have we ever had some Maserattis come to our drives and events? I started off with a Spyder and still think it was one of the most fun cars I have ever driven. I have seen some flying around the area too, in particular Park Ridge. Do any of us know any Maser pilots, I do not think they would be a bad addition to any of our drives.

To bad we can't swap Sunday for Thursday or Friday's forecast.
I'm seriously thinking about taking my 308 to work either Thursday or Friday. There was a new Vette in our parking lot today in my favorite spot. Problem is, I'll need to get to work by 5:30 AM to beat him to it. I wonder what he would say if I posted a "Ferrari Parking Only" sign. Better not, with my luck the Vette may belong to the GM and replace my sign with a pink slip that reads "Your Fired" !
