0-60 knots 5-secs.
I don't remember any facts except that it was in the Ferrari Museum in Modena. Here is another picture I took Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's another pic of the same boat. You can get a kit model of it here: http://www.amazing43.com/A43_2003/English/Botes-de-competicion_Eng.htm and here http://www.astecmodels.co.uk/fgallery.htm I saw the boat at the Ferrari Galleria in Maranello last year. Built 1953 at Timossi yard, this Triple point hydroplane was designed to compete in the 800kg hydro class. Renaldo Tinerelli was responsible for this highly successful 3 point design which holds the class record of 241.7km/h which still stands today. The hull construction is plywood with a mahogany veneer skin that made for a very light but incredibly strong hull.. The engine used was a V 12 cylinder Ferrari engine of 4493cc capacity, and produced in the region of 550 hp. More here: http://www.model-dockyard.com/amati/arno.asp Image Unavailable, Please Login
That F50 is awesome, can you imagine all the work that must have gone into that wood crafting? Unbelievable, you just don't see that anymore. WOW!
Bill Harrah campaigned Ferrari powered boats here in the states - anyone have decent pictures of those? Cheers, Jon
