Time for me to get some new tires on my QV. I got 16" wheels, so the choices seem endless (range is from 60 to 180 dollars a piece). I don't do track and don't drive my car too hard, so I'm tempted to go with "economic" tires. Bad idea? Are tires like religions or is there a noticeable difference in regular traffic driving?

The Kuhmo are a good deal all in all for lowish $$$. That is what came with the 308 with 16 here. Good grip and good feedback and gracefully let go. Going to upgrade to Bridg 03 soon. Heck, if you lived near NH i'd sell you mine fairly cheap as the rears have only 3k miles and the fronts about 6k miles.

I just bought Kumho Ecsta MX ties from Tirerack. These are their max performance summer tires. Size was 205/55 front and 225/50 rear. Cost was just under $100/tire. So far seem like decent tires, and I've heard lots of good things about them from others.

I just bought Yokohama AVS ES100s for mine 225/50 front 245/45 rear. Putting them on in the next 5 days... I've heard nothing but good things about them. I got all 4 delivered for less than 400. I'll post my impressions here when I have them mounted.

I have a full set of new BRIDGESTONE POTENZAS RE730`s 225/50/zr16 front pair and 245/50/zr16 rear pair.
I bought them last year for my 308. I just went one size smaller RE750`s on the car now,
they are last years design, never used, still have the sticker on the tread.
they retail for around $170.00 a tire, and will sell the full set $400.00, not sure if its worth shipping any long distance do to the weight?

    I am near Sacramento CALIFORNIA.
