Steve, I am very sorry how this has all turned out, we are all here for you. Cutting their bits off would not be enough !!! Hope you get the money back soon. (We can always ask Chaa to have a few words with them). Best wishes, Phil.
My thoughts are with you as well - I shared (vicariously) your excitement, and now certainly share your disappointment. Best Kevin
Steve: Sorry to hear that the deal went bad. I know that you mentioned that you still have 3 other Ferraris and you're done with trying to aquire another one. I track the 288 GTO's, can you share the chassis number with me? Off line is fine if you want to keep it quiet. Thanks, Erik
Steve, I am sick to the stomach at the thought of what you (and I'm sure, those around you) must be going through, and I shall pray to gods of all cars red that you can minimise the financial impact of this disaster.
OMG : this is really bad.... I hope everything turns out good for you and you get your money back. So you can go searching for another fine 275. Or have you given this dream up because of this? I hope not.
Just a short thank you note for all the support and comments I have received either in this or threads and via PM's too. I retreated from the World for a few days, and with the help of family and close friends I have done 'licking my wounds' now and fully intend to continue to battle to retrieve my hard earned capital. Thanks again, I hope we have all learned a VERY valuable lesson here? Steve
Steve "I have just returned from the US after making an official complaint and the whole matter is now in the hands of the US Authorities. 5 arrests have been made and I eargerly await the full investigation" Perhaps you tell us where we can find more information. In the US arrests are public record and many of us would like to avoid doing business with these people.
Sorry to hear of your troubles Steve. I'm sure the unofficial legal crew here at Fchat will be able to assist in your recovery efforts. To put a brighter spin on it, what was your impression of the car during the test drive? Care to share how the car feels?
Armen, that was Steve's info from his post here regarding 09063, where he claims to have test driven the car and to have had it inspected prior to "purchasing" it.
Tony, with only nineteen of these cars in existence, they are tracked by Aston gurus with as much enthusiasm as 250 GTOs are tracked by Ferrari gurus. Sometimes these gurus are even the same person. And, sometimes, these people are actually close friends of the owners of the cars.
Hey Guys, Hang on for a few minutes while my popcorn finishes popping. This is great. Seriously though, it's great to have all you enthusiasts out there watching our collective backs and looking out for the best interests of the marque and each other. There's no finer online community out there. (Now, let me tell you about that 166 I just picked up
Armen, by the way, I think you handled the whole issue with the perfect degree of caution, tact, and class. Your confrontation was never rude, and you really are responsible for making all this come to the surface.
Ah, the icing on the cake: The chassis number that Steve emailed me for the 288 GTO is currently being offered for sale by a broker in Paris. The car is in the UK, however, its owner resides in HK. What was the key word mentioned in this post? http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=213252&postcount=42 Ah yes, trust. Ta ta. Erik
... And Zach, I thank you for the compliment. If I can help a fellow FerrariChat member great! But there are a few holes I can't figure out?????
