Thanks , Napolis. Seems like we've being taken for a bunch of mugs. I know that's how i feel after defending Steve in a previous thread.......
Phil, see link below. It appears Steve's been economical with the truth about the cars he owns/was due to buy. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14875
Ah ha. He f:cked up ages ago, which I wondered about then Check this thread, http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3163&highlight=evo he posted a pic of 288GTO Reg B134 CHG & claimed to have taken the pic before a holiday. The was the GTO used by EVO in the ENZO/F40/F50/GTO issue. The car was also for sale in that issue by DK ENGINEERING at that time & has the same photo Now check http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4521&highlight=evo "This article was done nearly 8 months ago, I know the owner of the F50, (Who has since sold it - But kept the 100 GTS plate), I was approached by EVO for the use of my GTO, Kinda wishing I said yes know, But they did nerly £2k worth of damage to the front of the F50 during the road test." ATB, Steve B@stard, there was another guy like this on PH who was full of ****. & don't forget the NW driveout when his house got burgaled.
I'm really shocked anyone would go to such lengths. So what if he didn't have any of those cars, but just posted on here as plain "Steve"? I wouldn't have treated him any differently than had he owned them.....
Joe, i know as much as everyone else at this stage.Wayne has pulled Steve up on ownership of the Aston as it was displayed at Pebble Beach when he[Steve] says it couldn't have been.As for the 275, that car is owned by a friend of Armen in So Cal section .Armen took a pic of the car last Sat and confirmed it's never been for sale. It's all looking a bit smelly.
I prefered "Two men Claimed to be Jesus one of them must be wrong" thats a corker!!!!!! These people always come "unstuck" sometime!!!
Hey everbody! I just purchased a 412MI! LOL! He'd better stick with 308s next time! Have a great weekend!
Ive just had a pizza and a beer with NNO, just flew back in on the space shuttle hired it from NASA,have a guess who paid the bill ME!, NNO you owe me a pizza and a beer, now do i talk crap, so who is this steve guy, steve come back in and explain the 275,she is a beauty and needs a GOOD home can you provide this, cheers Dale.
Curiously enough, I figured out that 288GTO thing a while back too- I didn't want to rock the boat and post then. Gave the guy the benefit of the doubt. After all, we're all people of honesty and integrity, as I believe he said... One feels a bit of a twit to have been sucked in.... but so was everyone else! He knows alot about Ferraris, I wonder why he felt the need try to pull the wool? We're all friends here, regardless of ownership of a megaFerrari of simply enthusiasm for a great marque- no pecking order. Robert.
Malachi 2: 1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment [is] for you. 2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay [it] to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay [it] to heart. 3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, [even] the dung of your solemn feasts; and [one] shall take you away with it. Take that, you false witness!
I read alot of posts on here as I adore Ferrari but as I don't have one and if it ever happens will be long way off I have rarely posted. I feel cheated by this steve character. I really thought he was a British success story, a whole bunch of Ferraris, some of them the most desireable. I used to read his posts and wonder what it would be like to go into my garage and see a 288GTO sitting there waiting for the next drive. I guess everytime he posted he wondered what it would REALLY be like to drive a 288GTO. It just goes to show that you can have all the knowledge in the world but there is someone who will always be smarter and you will be found out. Oh well, I will continue to dream of that elusive 288GTO and one day I will get my 348, so for now I will be content with my lovely BMW 325sport.
Hi paul, you must be near me , give us a shout and ill give you a passenger in the 360 Spider....?? Chat n that..
Good on you Joe! Go for it Paul, you won't get a ride in a better 360 Spyder! You are right about the success story thing.
I have sent Joe a PM thanking him for his generous offer and I most definately will be taking him up on this. It is things like this that make you work harder to attain what some people feel is a dream. Just over a year ago my wife brought me a red letter day where I drove a subaru rally car and also a Ferrari 348TS. What a car the Ferrari was. Lovely engine noise, superbly weighted controls - I was in love but it ended all too soon. I now have a picture of me standing by the Ferrari as my wallpaper on my laptop so when I am on my out of hours rota for work I see my goal. There are two makes of car i am passionate about, Ferrari and BMW. I have two BMWs at the moment and a few years ago this was just a dream so who knows. I am also a huge Ferrari F1 fan and have been even during the less successful times. The Ferrari keyring will hang in the house one day. I hope Steve reads this and realises that you don't have to lie as you will be accepted for who you are not what you drive etc - oh well, I am going to put the cover over the F40 for the night now.
Paul, I don't live to far away from the medway towns and would be willing to give you a ride some time. Daz
