I believe there is still one in McKinney also. One of the Indy drivers (IRL) has it. I do not believe he has gotten rid of it yet but he moves cars around a lot and the last time I talked to him I helped him sell his 550 Maranello and a 360 Spider to help fund his IRL race team. He may have sold the F1 also as I left Ferrari about that time. He would not be as easy a person to get in to see his car as the one in West Texas.................

with those times i think they're contributed to the F1 transmission of the Enzo. the quicker shifts really cut the times down. if you had a similar transmission on the F1 i bet that'd be pretty interesting. but the F1 is geared for top speed which means they're a little wider apart than the enzo.

From what I've read the Mclarens that are in the US are actually slightly tuned down. The Mclaren F1 LM pulled a 0-100 time of 5.9s, with a 0-60 of 3 flat. but 'only' reached a top speed of just over 220 mph.

According to Autocar numbers, the Mclaren is faster everwhere. I guess the Enzo would beat it in braking and in steady state cornering.

However, both are fabulous cars anyway.

I have posted a scan of the Mclaren Roadtest in another forum and am attaching a link in case you are interested....

Autocar hasn't actually formally tested the Enzo yet. In the one article they did test the Enzo at Fiorano, but it was definitely a little slower than the F1.They did note however, that apparently the car had a bad clutch and that another run the next day did pretty much F1 acceleration stats.

And keep in mind the 13.1 to 150 was on the slow test so who knows.

I dont know if this has been posted but on automotiveforums.com it shows Dan Kennedy's F1 and enzo doing the 1/4; needless to say the F1 is still king of the road. The main photo of them dragging shows a pretty big lead over the enzo. Though of course it could have been the drivers fault.

The Enzo has 30 more HP, but it weighs 500-600lbs more. I would say that the Mclaren should have a huge edge over the Enzo.

The F1 is a faster car then the Enzo. I really think this is due to better overall engineering of the car. Yes the Enzo has alot of whiz bang tech in it were as the F1 is a shift your gears car, with no power anything no ABS or traction control. It is a drivers car. And like the previous poster stated, the times would be MUCH different for the Enzo if the car didn't drive itself.

I'm not so sure about that. The Enzo's "launch control" is simply dialing in the right revs. A skilled driver can do that themselves. The shifts are quick, but one of the few complaints about the cars is that they aren't as quick as they should be. Technically the time reported isn't beatable by humans(150 milliseconds I believe). However, reports from drivers still seem to indicate the feel it is a little slow and not just for an F1 transmission.
