As many of you know, I'm amid trading up my beloved 512TR for a 360M or possible 360Spider. If only I could keep my 512TR and get the 360M but I've been instructed to "either or...and not both".

Since I'm addicted to buying cars, I am on a hunt for a 360M. Just curious, what is the next Ferrari on your wish list?

    328. Oh, the wish list...328. I'm just a beginner. Rode in a 250GTO once but for 4 million I pass.

If I have an unlimited budget: F40 or 288GTO
If I have a pretty big budget: 355
If I have a relatively small budget: 328 or 308

    I want a V8 to compliment the 512TR.

You had one Bubba. Get another 12, just make it a front engined 2+2.

Erik, I know, but the Mondial was becoming a money hole, so I had to ditch it. The 456 is nice, but a bit subdued. 612 is too new, and I am a bit wishy washy about its looks.

Besides, I've already got my favorite 12-cylinder Ferrari, so I think a V8 little bro would be a nice compliment.

Erik---BTW, did anyone provide a workable solution about your Ferrari import tax inquiry into China? I am curious because I am right in the middle of starting a commodity trading company in VN and will likely need to live there a couple of years to build infrastructure. I am contemplating shipping my Ferrari car there....

Peter--- Did you have your 512TR shipped to HK or did you acquire it there? I might need to face similar decision in a very near future and am open for guidance.

Right now i'm quite happy with my 355, but in a couple of years (hopefully) i'll start looking for a 360 Challenge Stradale...

A 512 is definately the next weekend blaster. I hope it will be an M and not a TR, but we will see.

But if 550 prices keep crashing over the next few years then I might just have to pick up one as a daily.

All this is in good fun at the moment, I bought an apartment, and the 'funds' are rather low at the moment. *sigh*

Since I had a TR I would like to go up to a 512TR or if I can swing it a 512M

On the other side of the fence I've always had a soft spot for a 246GTS

I'm not importing it. It will stay in the states. I don't have a Chinese driver's license because I can't read enough characters yet.

A Black 360 Modena 6 speed with Tan Daytona seats, fender shields, rear challenge grill, and carbon fiber interior trim (to replace the aluminum).

    Yeah, that'd be nice.

Tom, the car was acquired after it was imported from UK by the 1st local owner. Don't know how much duty was paid initially, but I imagine it would be pretty damn high.

Don't know if VN has a system of granting tax reprieve for those staying there temporarily. A while back, I seem to recall a UK F-chat member working temporarily in the US and brought his UK 360 with him. Think he didn't pay any duty on it, because he was there only for a short while. Not that it really matters when importing to the states.

Thanks Peter and Erik--- Man, I dread the thoughts of being F-less for all that time but perhaps, it's best to leave her behind in the state....As to VN taxing system, it's constant work in progress....and what was conceptualized on paper isn't the same as in practicality. Thankfully, the gov. is feverously working to get a structure in place to be WTO's compliant so I am hoping things will be better defined when the time comes. Thanks to you both for your prompt response and inputs.

If I bother to buy another Ferrari...it will be 360 replacement Spider (been on the list for a spider for 28 moths already!) If it doesn't hit the bricks before the Gallardo Spider I'll just get my 5k deposit back and mostly likely
will buy no more "new" F cars.

until the next front engined 12, I think the 550 maranello is the most desirable.. I love driving it, and when I step into my Boxer, Daytona or 308, I realize that for a driver with my modest driving skills, the 550 is all the power and car that I can handle. I had better not try an F40 or anything in that category..and I cant stand 2+2 Ferraris..so, here's waiting for something other than 575 F1.

Considering my current wealth, I'd have to go with ... mmmmh ... tough decision ... a 348 lug nut. Ok, maybe two of 'em. :)

10 years from now, it would have to be a 333SP or 512 BB LM (the Silhouette one) or perhaps an F40. I wouldn't mind a 360 with MS Racing exhaust either. But that's about it from Ferrari.
If there was Lambo in that too, make that an Islero and Diablo 6.0. :)

The first supercar I plan on getting though is a Bugatti EB110. Saw it years ago in Cannes and decided from that day "this is what I want ... been studying since!! lol).

Agree.....but then where would I park my newly acquired used Honda Civic

It's easy for you to say LOL. Pre-nuptual agreement wasn't very widely available for us long time married folks...LOL.

BTW, I'm envious of your 2 512TR....You show impeccable taste.
