It looks fantastic Joe. They must have painted the air filter box gold as that's crinkle finish black as standard.

Whether or not one does that kind of mod is very personal though, particularly on an older car. There are two choices: do mods to make the car look more contemporary (18 inch alloys with low profile tyres, paint the black skirt and spoilers in body colour, fit titanium shift and drilled pedals etc, etc) or keep the car as totally original (although maybe changing a few mechanicals that don't show to get better reliability).

In my experience, original cars hold their value better and this is more important the older they are. Also in the longer term they look better as the mods usually age faster than the car itself. Would you remove the wire wheels off a 60s F-car and put new alloys for example? No way.

Of course it's a personal choice, but I am going to keep mine original I think (sports exhaust is the one exception).

Nickel plated Steve, nice touch on the air boxes.

Price is about £800.00 not confirmed tho...may be cheaper..

    Tony

Carbon fibre and Lexan , guys working on a glass option too...

I know its not to everyones taste but thought it was a nice bolt -on.

Use it and remove it when you sell the car...I know my 360 attracts so many people looking in the clear view panel to see the engine.

Did you get my pm tony???

It looks like a nice touch, for some cars, And I agree it's a great idea, I just can't see it fitted to my GTO or 328 for that matter ?

Might even stretch the relatively clean lines of a 355 too ?

    But that's just me.

    ATB,

    Steve
