    From the same manufacturer:

Ferrari 512M, Le Mans 24 Hours 1971 Slot Car Display.

This 1/32nd scale slotcar display, made by Spirit of Spain, contains TWO wonderfully detailed replica's of Ferrari F512's that competed in the 1971 edition of the 24 hours of Le Mans.

The first model is a replica of S/N 1028, which started life as a works 512 S Berlinetta. In 1970 it was used in the shooting of the movie "Le Mans" and in 1971 it was sold to David Weir in the UK after which it was converted to "M" specifications Berlinetta. It was entered in the 1971 edition of the Le Mans 24 hours by David Piper and raced by David Weir and Chris Craft who managed a 4th place overall behind the second model in this set. The car now resides in Germany.

The second car is a replica of S/N 1020 which was modified to "M" specification without ever having raced in "S" specification. The car was entered by N.A.R.T. (note the typical white/blue stripe over the car). The car was raced by Sam Posey & Tony Adamowicz and managed a respectable 3rd overall, being the first Ferrari behind the all-conquering Porsche 917's. The car still resides in the USA.

These ready-to-run slotcars have the following specifications:

    Scale: 1/32
    Overall length ca. 6 inches
Great detailing with brake discs and fine tampo print
    Sidewinder Mabuchi motor
    Mild magnet for improved roadholding
