In the world of Bling, what (if any) after-market products would a 'normal' Ferrari owners put on their cars that may have some taste. For myself, the Scudia badge is about as far as I'll go. Just seeing if there are a few classy items. Who know, I may find a cool ashtray or something!

It depends what specific area you are talking about. IMHO, some acceptable after market products would be...

    Tubi or Ansa exhaust
HRE or other high quality wheels
    Brembo upgrades
    Any properly performed engine work

There is not much needed to make a Ferrari better then it already is IMHO.

    Tubi or Ansa exhaust

These brands seem to focus on sound and not performance

HRE or other high quality wheels

I do not know HRE. I do want to buy five-stars and I know they are expensive. I have gold Gotti honneycombs and need to find a pigeon..I mean a person to take them off my hands.

    Brembo upgrades

    Who is Brembo?

    Any properly performed engine work

This is a given. What Ferrari owner would take their car to a knucklehead mechanic?

I'd say leave the your belissima 308 alone. If you think you can do better, then build your own car from scratch.

peters: Brembo is a manufacturer of brakes, and their components are used on many newer Ferraris. They make brake upgrade packages for older Ferraris.

Just nothing with the body panels, no spoilers or extra body panels anywhere. I see nothing wrong with a new exhaust. I definitely wouldn't mess with the engine by strapping turbos to it or anything like that.

I know it's so much cheaper to do it yourself, but basically if you give Ferrari enough money, they can customize your car the way you want, and that way it's straight from the factory like that, such as a carbon fiber interior, or something. Having it like that from the factory is something that would just appeal to me in the long run. I also think it's different if you're messing around with it for the track. If so, then absolutely, put almost anything on the car, but for a roadcar, I think it should be largely left alone.

    For your '77 308:

Drilled Pedal Covers (I prefer the Ti, but Al is nice too)

16" 308QV wheels (I'm not a big aftermarket wheel fan)

At least a ~30mm Steering wheel extension

Lower the front end coachwork (to get a little positive "288" chassis rake)

    What is acceptable? Hmmmm....

full carbon 288 style wide-body, aluminum pan, 4" subframe stretch. 3.0 4v motor mounted transverse with G50 transaxle, pair of 13g turbos for a quick spool on such a low displacement. CF intake manifold (aluminum internal velocity stacks to a CF plenum). New coil over suspension with 3" drop onto 17" light weight rims, front and rear defuiser. Nice sparco roadster seats and your set.

    Of course...that's just me :)

    Peters:

Most of today's cars are already tuned with their stock exhaust from the factory so an exhaust upgrade usually does not add much power at all. Some examples of this are the BMW M5, BMW M3, Porsche 996tt, and Chevy Z06. Therefore, I think sound is more important when deciding upon an exhaust.

As stated above, Brembo is a manufacturer of larger brake kits for most cars. They look great and stop even better. A definate worthwhile upgrade, albight expensive, even for safety sake.

I'm thinking a Lincoln kit so you can hang a fake spare tire on the rear bumper, Some of theose nifty 23" "Spinna" wheels which would also nicely increase unsprung weight considerably, maybe a chartreuse shaggy velvet interior, a gold chain steering wheel. Then I'm thinking maybe either a 2 foot lift kit or some hydraulics to make it jump :) That sounds good to me LOL

Well, while being Jewish and all...

i feel a small dashboard statue of Jesus and also a small statue of St. Schumacher (Protector Of Driving Speed) would be acceptable.

A few Krispy Kreme donuts for the nice man with that "blue light special" never hurts either.

    Enjoy the HUMOR,

For a 25-year-old car with Carbs: a fire extinguisher large enough to put out the flames of hell itself. You have those old fuel lines replaced yet?
