Who needs a 355 motor?

    I am posting this for an acquiantence of mine that doesn't have internet access...

    Here is a motor out of a 1998 355 F-1 Spider with 3k miles.
    The car suffered an electrical fire that cause some exterior damage to the engine. The engine turns over, but not sure how it is inside - the heads have not been pulled yet.

    If you need an engine, this one isn't a bad deal... PM me if you are interested. It's going onto ebay pretty soon but I thought I would post it here first.

    Someone with a 360 might want to buy it so they end up with the 'awesome' sound ... which the 360 lacks ;).

    I agree, but hate to admit it. The 360 lacks that Ferrari sound imo.

    As to 360 sound...can you say toyota camary? IMHO nothing sounds better than a 348 with challenge exhaust and no cats

    Absolutely agree. Have followed one on several occasions - and its just amazing the noise it generates....

    How much did the engine sell for?

    Buy the engine, polish it up, put a piece of glass on top of it and use it as coffee table :)

    Except a 355 with a Tubi Sportpack :)

    Stretching it a bit with the Camry swipe though. The stock 360 isn't that bad.

    The sound that comes out the back is INCREDIBLE!!! :)

    If you would have posted a 348 motor I would have been a little suspicious!
