Funny stuff... asking if Ginny Sac had driven in it yet, knowing full well that she wouldn't fit. Nice car... I was wondering what dealer John got it from! What do you guys think of the Sopranos so far this season...? I think there have been a few good episodes, but it's been hit or miss every week. Disappointing.
It would be hard to just get right into the story after missing all of the other seasons, seeing how each episode builds on the ones before. The best T.V. series IMO. This year I have missed a couple episodes, but the ones I saw were good.
Fair enough - this season really isn't up to snuff. You should really check out the DVDs of the first three seasons thoguh. Great stuff.
IMHO i am finding too damn many "product placement" ops. The washing machine, the Maserati, and other things. Seems every show gets to be a commercial than a show. HBO might need to augment their income from the show, but DAMN their product placements are getting WAY out of hand.
HEY JIM WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT NJ-PHILLY NEIGHBORHOODS?? ITS ALL TUPPER-WARE AND ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANICA SALESMAN HERE BRUCE
Product placement is quite telling. If the show isn't a dramatization (any more), what is it? Is it what was foretold in when Melissa Gilbert took over as helmer at SAG whereby TV shows would survive rather than thrive (dramatically) based on (over-)commercializtion? Are writers, let alone actors, now bedded with their respective agency's agreements to promote products rather than further storylines?
Neither. Nor have I ever seen any of The Apprentice, Sex & the City, Six Feet Under, the OC or more than 20 mins of The Bachelor, Survivor or Big Brother. I saw Fear Factor once, and almost dry heaved. That's not to say I don't watch TV, but it's mostly Simpson reruns, Fox or CNN News, Raymond, Scrubs, standup and Daily Show on CC, and everything non-NASCAR on Speed. Didn't the Sopranos grind people up in a wood chipper? It would be funny if that was a porduct placement too... "The new John Deere 8hp Wood Chipper - It Even Grinds up the Teeth! Now available at Home Depot."
No, it was a SAUSAGE grinder Fargo used a wood chipper. Cleanup is a lot harder with the chipper, methinks. Now, Alias, THAT's a show. OK, I love Tony too, but just like X-files, West Wing, etc...early seasons seem better, fresher. Brought to you by F-Chat, the chat of choice for JP Montoya
I know an Italian guy from the Bronx who is about 400 pounds, dresses all in black and wears tons of gold and diamonds. (He says he doesn't trust banks so his entire net worth is around his neck). Anyway my wife said he should try out for the Sopranos, I told her he would be rejected in a second. They would tell him, "buddy, you're overdoing it! Nobody would ever believe that someone could look like this!" LOL!
That's because Ginny Sac looks more like a Gunny Sac... Yep--lotsa product placement lately--Whirlpool, the new 'Sclade, the Maser. I guess that's to hide the weak plots as they try to find a way to wind down.. Regarding Alias...the plots are as convoluted as another Slick Willie Clinton explanation of what the definition of "is" is...but Jennifer Garner.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
