I have a 2001 550 Maranello and had been driving quite a bit in stop and go traffic recently when the car seemed to "sputter" 2-3 times in 2nd gear (2-3k RPM's) when I hit the gas - the car just didn't want to "rev up" and accelerate.. Any idea as to what the cause may be??

My guess would be fouled plugs. Anybody else? Dale

Does it sound / feel like it's misfiring?

PS; I should add - any warning lights on? Run it by an independant / someone you trust and have them check to see if it's throwing any codes. Then again, if you take it in, have them look at it anyways. :D

maybe, traction control? plug wire set?

    possible fouled plug.

If no codes, I would try disabling the traction control and recheck. at least it would elimnate that system and an easy test.

    best regards, jim
