my 348 Challenge is at Ferrari of Atlanta, I sold my 288GTO rebody this morning. I still plan to do the drangon...but the Walter Mitty is in Atlanta the end of the month and they are talking about Ferrari Parade laps. Also, the Ferrari Challenge is comming to Atlanta latter that month, and more parade laps plus coral parking and track time. So I may leave My car at FOA so I can participate in those events....but I still do want to do tail of the dragon.
Parade laps are cool and I got excited about them for awhile........until I did a track day. Do a Ferrari track event or a track day at road atl. Parade laps really don't give you any idea of what it is like to be on a track going as fast as possible. I did it in my 97 M3 (every mod under the sun) and it was a blast. Take that challenge out to a track and you'll know what your car can/can't do safely. Pick a track with plenty of run off (ie no concrete walls) vir, kershaw(CMP), roebling rd......just to name a few. Road Atl is my favorite track but man there isn't much room to run off if you have a momentary lapse in brain power. I've seen too many cars hit the walls which makes me not want to take my car back. However it is a drug you get addicted quickly hahaha
