...if so, this is a good place to post it... The Animal RescueSite is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "feed an animal in need" for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.
I once had an English Bulldog that got his azz kicked by a neighbor's Standard Poodle. Pretty humiliating for the pooch.
Ouch!! Really?!?!?!? Damn!! BTW, on topic, the site looks legit but I find the click and feed sort of funny if not absurd. For me, if it was my site, I would write a simple script that "hit" the button about 2000 times an hour. That is really easy to do and set up and as long as you own or speak to the owner of the server, nothing will be noticed.
Poodles are originally German, I am sure that the French adopted the dog after getting there a55es kicked by the Germans. Also they are very loyal, another thing they do not have in common with the aforementioned loser.
Here's my Poodle. She's a miniature and 5 pounds fully grown. Best dog I have ever had. I grew up with German Shephards, and constantly made fun of little dogs like this one. I was wrong to do that. This little dog is very cool. The Standard Poodles can get big, and they are one tough, smart dog.
This Saturday we're participating in a fund-raiser for the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society called "Bark in the Park". They do great work, and on the odd chance someone feels the warm compulsion to help, here's their link: www.barkinthepark.org
