Like thats going to happen. He'll probally tell his work he needs to get on here twice every thirty minutes for "research".
WOW! Awsome!!! Congrats Carbon. I can't imagine the joy you must be feeling. Great news. Way to go Wayne! What a truly great website we have here!...
I am willing to make a friendly bet with someone that Carbon will buy his first Ferrari in 2 years or less. Who wants to put 20 dollars on it?
http://www.ferrarimarketletter.com/ Considered by many to be "the bible" for Ferrari values, the FML is published bi-weekly both on the internet, and on paper. It was very helpful for me in valuing cars when I went hunting for a Dino, as it publishes a list of car asking prices, based on its advertised cars. You can't sell a car in FML unless you list an asking price, which they then use for data in their asking price index. It has to be a dream come true job, for Carbon. And congrats, man. Go get 'em.
disclaimer: OK, OK, so Chico played for the Cubs, but his brother NNO - OK, Soul Brother #2, time for a sit-down: Be focused on FML. No F-Chatting during work at FML. No spilling FML Company Secrets. Don't talk yourself out of FML. Other than that, Arrividerci NY! Ciao FML! "Base-a-ball has a-been a-berry, berry good to NNO Esquela... " Image Unavailable, Please Login
Huge congrats! I guess this would be as good of a time as any to explain my avatar. Most people get to work on Monday morning and talk about how great their weekend was. By Monday afternoon, they are rambling "I can't wait for Friday." Most people spend 79% of their lives talking about and waiting for the 21% that they enjoy. It sounds like you have found a job that will atleast flip those percentages if not skew the numbers substantially past 79% being enjoyable. Congrats again! -ag
Congrats, Carbon! Best of luck in the new job! I'm sure you'll do well. May you have continued success. (I must note, however, that my guess as to what your new job would be was dead on the money. Hey, that's why I make the big bucks.) 4/22 "I don't know & have not been told...but will seriously guess here. I'm guessing the job will be for a Ferrari or sportscar related magazine or publication...his job will be writing (given his love for same), or compiling and/or editing info/stats,etc..something along those lines." Again, congrats and best wishes for success! By the way, do I get a free subscription to FML or something?
Congrats, NNO! What a terrific opportunity! Best wishes to your new dream job. We're looking forward to seeing some articles penned by you in the FML in the future too! Hope I get the opportunity to meet up with you some day now that you'll be much closer. Keep us posted on all the details
Congratulations Carbon!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agreee with Jordan- 2 years or less until it's Ferrari time. Dom
Carbino- I remember many moons ago the first time you called me here at the shop. You asked me how it was working around Ferrari's all day. Well, now you get to see it first hand. Good Luck, and I guess I should up my subscription again eh? Cheers~ R
Woohoo, DES!! Congrats, gimme 5!! Looks like all your post-whoring has paid off big time!! You will now be paid to pursue your passion. Best of 2 worlds. Since you have such a knack for writing, I suppose we can expect to see something like "DES corner" or "Dear DES" in FML pretty soon? Keep us all posted.
That should be a sick job. I assume you are going to be writing articles for them or something? Im not too familiar with, nor have i ever read, FML so im not sure what the contents are. It must be good to actually get paid for something you are good at, and most of all, something you enjoy doing.
Congratulations ! Sounds like a great job ! Maybe you'll be also allowed to do test drives for reviews
The FML is great - I always look forward to getting it in the mail... I sit in my chair and look at every car - Even Better than Sharper Image, Frontgate or Vic Secret! There is also some good parts, accessories for sale in there as well - Bought my 355 Speedlingerie Front End cover there! Way to Go Carbon - Should be an awesome expreience and Job - and Atlanta is great!
1st - Congrats to Carbon for landing his dream job!!! May it bring you happiness every day!!! 2nd - Jordan, I'll take that bet!!! Carbon will not have acquired a driveable Ferrari by 5/31/2006 . He's a great fella, but not great with a checkbook.... Sorry to bash ya Carbon, but I need the $20 to pay for my next major in a few years!!! I know you understand!!!
