Gentlemen... Pray for me! The time has come and the hour of Gumball is upon us! I am heading down South this afternoon and picking up the Spider from Macari's. Now with new cambelts and a lack of cats! No major problems apparently, so I will have to try harder! Getting the tunnel on Friday afternoon and heading down to Paris. We start on the 5th but parties should start a few days beforehand! Will try to post the odd update as we go. Our website will be updated on route. The forum is now working too! What happens if you breakdown (3000 miles hard driving - chance it may happen)? Is Joe M & and his Mechanics going to?? Or have they kitted your 355 out real good, in which case, what did they do to it apart from new cambelts and removal of CATS(which is defineately a good idea)? Ade
I thought I posted this morning but it's disappeared. Have a good time. You will if the write up is anything to go by - 5 Enzo's, 3 Maclaren F1's, 2 Zonda's and a Koenningsegg.
Am sat in the hotel using the wireless setup in the room! Nice! Not a whole lot to report from Paris at the moment. The is a 360 from Manchester, but no other Ferraris as of this morning! There are 2 really wild Porsche Cayennes and a pair of Hummers, but all should be here either tonight or tomorrow.... Will post any Enzo pics as soon as i take them!\ Ed
Just wanted to wish you luck with the rally! Enjoy yourself but keep it safe! Your 355 is much to nice to be damaged in any kind of way!! And yes, please post as many pics as you can!! From every F-car!!! Including yours!! Hope you have the time of your life! CIAO... Guy
Ed - how did it go, surely you're back now ? (hopefully safely) Looking forward to catching up with you and hearing all the 'stories'. Rick
Holy hell! It is me! I presume that must have gome from www.gumball2004.com Plug Plug...(As Usual!) Anyway! We are back, in one piece.....A smashed driving lamp and a hell of a lot of stone chips though..... And kids in Morocco were throwing rocks at the cars! I got stopped 7 times, four of which were on the same day in Spain! Arrested on the 4th occasion and taken to the Police Station to pay my fine! They never got our speed and so had to charge us with taking part in an illegal road rally! They were not the happiest of people! The car ran perfectly, but the ground clearance meant a lot of bangs and scrapes on the underside. Will have her up on a ramp soon to see! Will put in a full report shortly, but I see talk of the accidents has already surfaced! Regards Ed
