from my 575, passenger side rear P Zero rosso. Thought this group might feel my (pretty minor) pain.

    "I can't complain,
    but sometimes I still do;
Life's been good to me so long."

That can be repaired, at least it didn't go through the sidewall.

Atleast the screw still has its head on, if that came off and fell into the tire you could have had a blowout!

Its an easy fix, just plug it up and it will be fine for now.

Funny anyways, I thought the verse that applied to you guys was

    "My Maserati does one-eighty-five
I lost my license, now I don't drive"

I had a low tire once they pulled two screws and a nail from it!

Something to do with the housing construction boom!

I've have had many Nail repairs done on Tires for the Family Cars
and Trucks and never had a problem, under normal circumstances.
However, I don't think I would risk having one repaired that could
be carrying myself and/or passengers at higher speed/spirited Driving.
I might repair it and use it as a spare.

If you do get it repaired, make sure it is plugged THEN patched. plugging it, by punching a hole all the way through the tire will prevent tread separation. once that's done, patch it and it should be fine - at least for the streets.

I had a guy patch an edge once, and he looked at me and said,

"Now promise me you won't be using this up at Texas World Speedway!"

I had to raise my right hand and promise!

Always loved that song, now maybe I'll remember the right lyrics!

FoW pulled the tire off for me, Mr. Phillips Head was about three inches long. They suggested torquing it down securely (just kidding); actually, I didn't want to patch the tire. Someday I'll be at a track where I'll have the chance to do a few laps, and I don't want to worry about it. Cheap insurance.

I should have posted the pics as a caption contest ...

I would not trust a patched tire above 120 MPH for more than a few seconds, nor over 80 for more than an hour or so.

speaking of puncture repair, i just had this done with my bmw. should you treat the tire as if it never happened or should you take it easy? i just wasn't sure how rugged or durable a repaired tire is.

There must be something wrong with those P-Zero's. Maybe it's magnetic rubber in them...? They seem to attract all sorts of metal studs, screws and you name it...:D

Ferrari dealer told me always replace the tire never repair. He said
that knowing that I am not going to be buying a tire from him.

Replace and never repair on a Ferrari (or any fast car)!
In any case, the tire/profile was 80% f*** off.
