348 Check Engine Light--not in owners' manual!

    1992 348 Speciale tb here...

    The "Check Engine" cylinders 1-4 light came on briefly today. The meaning of the warning light is not described in the owners' manual...

    What does this mean? I know there are plenty of false warnings on the 348, but what is this warning light supposed to mean?

    There's a brief description of the "Check Engine" light stuff in the '92 US 348 OM, Section: Ignition-Injection, Sub-section: on-board "self-diagnosis" function (but it doesn't give any real specifics). If the light went out after 4 seconds, you only had 1 "sporadic error".
