What do you California folks make of "NON REPAIRABLE CALIFORNIA TITLE"...? Does that mean that you can't buy the car then use it as, let's say, a track car...? How come it's listed as non-repairable...? Is that an official term...? Just about anything can be repaired with money, right...? Also, why does the seller say it's "almost impossible" to register...? If you repair it, you can register it, right...?

hey DES.... at least here in GA where a title is NOT required for cars 1986 and older , you can register the car with the vin and a bill of sale written on a napkin. dont laugh! i have done it, for the purpose of getting the car " in my name" prior to spending many $$$$ on it. liens have to be paid and there is the liability if the structure is ( in this case WAS) damaged by the intense heat.it would be a good car to use as parts to fix the car ( red 308) on ebay with all the damage on the left side!. depends on the state you live in. in this case i would think the heat damage would make it non repairable to anyone. in the cities such as Atlanta they may require a inspection on a car that has not had current tags for more than 3 years, where i live in GA nobody cares.

I'm the type who wld bring home a stray dog or cat along the way home, so it pains me to see this car looking so sad. But even I'd have to say this one's a lost cause, especially @ the current bid of $5100 "reserve not met".

FUTUREOWNER....... very funny....( i started the thread))

DES...... i have no idea what is wrong with georgia ( im not from here). i have friends that run newer car dealer ships and they have all sorts of problems with titles and title fraud. with most of my old muscle cars, its not a big deal as most of the buyers are ga residents but if i have a $10k or $20k car and it sells out of state.... umm its gets to be a problem. as far as the fire car goes l " BURNT TOAST" sums it up.
