okay - i give up. how does this calendar thing work? i created an event but it doesn't show up. i don't see any events on the calendar at all, in fact, as i scroll through the dates. it says that birthdays will show there, but i don't see any of those either. is this thing busted or am i not grokking? i think it'd be a great tool to put up f-events! but it'll need to be moderated. doody.
Wild Guess: From the Source Page: <form action="calendar.php" method="post" name="vbform" onsubmit="return validatePost(this, this.title.value, 0, 0);" onreset="vB_RESET(this);"> Should values be set at 0, 0? Or is there supposed to be a separate javascript for calendars? - as... http://ferrarichat.com/forum/clientscript/vbulletin_editor.js ...doesn't contain anything about "calendar."
^CALENDAR^ <form action="newreply.php" name="vbform" method="post" onsubmit="return validatePost(this, 0, 0, 0);" onreset="vB_RESET(this);"> ^REPLY^ Interesting how a New Calendar Event from QUOTE is different than a New Reply which followed: A mere transposition - whoopteedoody, heh: method="post" name="vbform" = calendar name="vbform" method="post" = reply More specifics on Calendar, yet a "missing" 0... 1st "this" appears to be Event Date, 2nd "this" appears to be Event Time, "Title" appears to be just that - the Title "Value" appears to be Recurrence chosen But why the "missing" 0 compared to what's on a standard Reply?: (this, this.title.value, 0, 0); = calendar (this, 0, 0, 0); = reply
From: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/faq.php?faq=vb_board_usage#faq_vb_calendar_how How do I use the calendar? The administrator may have enabled registered members to post events, but usually this is not the case. You can most likely post your own private events that are only viewable to you. Pro'ly explains the 0,0 stuff.
I didn't realize I had to moderate the calendar events before they would be posted, it's now working.
