LOL, J.... i was wondering the same thing; i'm not into the racing stuff right now, but i wonder what these things fetch... Especially the "limited edition" pieces...
Oh, that's not nearly as bad as i thought it would be... Are people already placing orders or do you have to wait until the release date...? Not that i want one, just figured i'd ask...
With an edition of 5,000 I don't think you need to preorder. They won't sell out for a while. Too bad they did that in chrome. That kinda ruins it for me. I'm still looking for a 1/18 F2003GA. NOT the 2002 car with this years stickers.
This thing looks foney. Only speedgear is the one who says this thing is of Mattel, but no where else on the internet this model could be found
Yeah Mule you have reason, I had the same impression when I saw the car for first time, I saw a 2001 car in chrome. I'm waiting the real 2003-GA . I'm going to preorder in speedgear and I hope to buy a real 2003 6th title..... This is going to be a car for the history ... I'm going to try to find in Internet a new photos of this model. I only found this one in speedgear.com ... I'll let you know .. Ramon Ramirez Ferrari DieCast Collector..
Sorry to say this but what kind of collectors are you if you like a chrome model Ferrari If you buy this kind of crap, why don't buy a yellow Ferrai F1 or one with 6 golden stripes at the sidepods
Well Schumi28 if you read the thread closely you'll realize most would agree with you. A chrome edition is just crap. The thing that ticks me off most about this is the fact, that this is yet another attempt by the manufacturer to pull a fast one: All they're trying to do is cash in on Schumi's 6th title by clearing out their inventory of old models. Luckily there are forums like this where we can warn each other. I realize speedgear.com is a business, but they shouldn't really go that low and try to sell of such crap. That's what ebay is here for.
Dear Shumi28 its is a site to share opinions .. I only saw this model is ww.spedgear.com and I put the photo to share opinions with ferrari friends. I f you don't like the model please don't buy and nothing more. !!
Looks like CRAP in chrome also it does not apear to have the curves that the 2003GA has. Sorry this one is not going into my collection. Rob Guess "The Other Rob"
The car in the image is the Ferrari F2001. It still has TIC TAC and FedEx as sponsors, the nose drops too much for an F2002 or an F2003-GA and the white panel over the engine cover is the wrong shape.
See this link for the correct pic of the Chrome f2003, plus 2 other f2003 ga special editions for USA and Japan. Looks good http://www.gpmini.qc.ca/newintropage.html
The decal are the 2000...hmmm...much of 2003GA....Not too happy about it...Still have the TicTac decal and some other that they are not the new sponsors of Ferrari anymore... I do have some 1999,2000,2001,2002 and waiting for the proper 2003. FORZA FERRARI TILL I DIE
And then this one celebrating MS 999th F1 point when i zoomed in i could see the shark gills but could not tell if they were decals or cast in. Anyone have any recent experence with this company??? I use to subscribe to racecar-engineering thru them but there customer service sucked this was about 10 years ago.
