Just picked one of these up for $21.60. I was told that around fathers day alot more of the HW's models will be on sale, including Ferraris. More will be coming in.

Ahh, and I debated on dropping in their this afternoon on the way back from MSR... decided not to because I hadn't heard of any Ferraris there on this forum recently! ;) Timing's everything, as they say.

This may sound like a dumb question but, how far is Sugarland from the Mattel Warehouse there in Texas? Or where in Texas is the Warehouse?

Reason for asking is I have a friend who lives in Sugarland, TX.

Sugarland is in SW Houston. A trip to Mattel, which is located in North Central Ft. Worth is ~4-5 hours.

Good find Will! I'd jet up there, but damn, I already have a 99 Schumi. That's the only F1 car I have in my minute collection. I'll probably hold off unti lthose father's day sales come around.

If they are still around is the question. It's hard to tell with Mattel. Certain inventory can move very fast there. I did speak to the new manager & told her to get as many Ferrari related item as possible. She is already working on it. If anyone wants one, PM me & I'll go get what I can. I'm only 10 miles away from the warehouse, not far at all.

    What they have now.
    1/43rd 335B & spider, 348ts, yellow F40LM, 365 Daytona spider etc...(plenty)
1/43rd Schumy F2001 cars (plenty) & 1/43rd F2001 Rubins & Schumy duel Constructors Champ set.
    1/64th Hot Wheels pit set
    Other assorted F1 1/18th, 1/24th, 1/43rd, 1/64th McLaren / Jordon / Jaguar

Well I figure when they came out, the F399 1/18th were selling new for $50.00 to $75.00. I was just happy to find one. Thats a great price though, does the Socal store have managers special sale days as well?

Where did you get the Marlboro decals? The models without it just don't look right to me.

Correct. There are two that I know of here in SoCal., one at the base of the Mattel headquarters building in El Segundo (near LAX), and one in the City of Commerce (SilverOne ?).

The inventory rotates pretty radically from week to week, and even day to day. Prices also change; don't know if its called a "Managers Day Special" though....
