They are. We have to diversify away from Bear Mountain though -- great rides, but having done it a couple of times (like, 4), I'd like to explore some other lovely roads around the area. A good thread in the NYTS forum on good roads -- just a matter of exploring them.
There are some very nice roads on the north shore of L.I. I used to love riding my bike home late at night on Northern Blvd. When you get out east a little it runs along the water for a little bit. You can feel the temp. change and smell the salt air as you ride. It might make a nice early Sun. Morn. run.
There are alot of great roads on the east side of the hudson in northern westchester, greenwich county in CT, and furtrher north. You may not have the amazing views you get from 9w by the bear mtn brdige, but they are still nice drives. The drive to lime rock is great, and i hope im home for the FCA event there so i can make that drive through the woods.
NY Tri-State Fchat members I'd say are probably one of the most or thee most active Ferrari group on this board in terms of physically getting together and taking out their babies for long drives in packs of 8-15
