Ok, so I have been a little depressed about letting my 360 Spider go, but I received a wonderful phone call yesterday telling me that the helicopter that I ordered will be available for pickup on May 19th. I will have to wait a few days longer as I will be in Boston until the 21st.

I will be keeping it at Van Nuys and can't wait to start zipping about. When you are on your next FDC drive you might just have to look up as well as in front.

Hey, congratulations - any specs on the chopper or particular reasons why this model was the one?

First, congratulations. :) Second, Van Nuys is only 15 mintues from my house. Adam, is it possible to come check it out in person once you have it in your possession?

Ferraris seem dime a dozen in LA, time to see some true exotic toys. :D

    Congratulations!

Please don't tell us you also own a yacht big enough to land your new helicopter on!

btw, how do you get it in and out of the hangar - are there wheels hidden in the skids?

    No Yacht... Yet :)

You use a dolly that attaches to the skids to put it in the hangar.

Hey Adam - When you're good and ready and feel confident enough to fly 30 feet above the wave tops - let me know. I'll hire a vidoegrapher and take out a couple of the Ferrarichat guys for a high speed run to Catalina in the Cigarette. You can fly right above us and shoot footage. It would be even more awesome if we had a second copter shooting footage of you 30 feet above us flying in tandem or sideways. :)

No way! Awsome. If that happens, you would have to post video here. That'd be way cool.

...And footage of an FDC run. That would be awsome too. Yippee

Sounds like a blast. I want to get at least 50-75 hours on this bird before I would do that but sounds like a lot of fun. Hopefully before the end of the summer.

    Mike,

I will probably be keeping it at Group 3 Aviation at Van Nuys (Next to Helinet) Do you have your license, or are you still learning? My wife just past her written and is about ready to solo. I had to learn on a Schwiezer because I am over the 240lb cap for the R22.

Ho wlong have you been flying? I noticed you are also in Woodland Hills.

    Adam

    P.S. Nice web page :)

You can be better than radar -- fly a few hundred yards in front of the lead driver on the next FDC drive and radio down to us if there are any lurking CHP waiting up ahead!
