F+M SD is way boring. Showroom straight out of 1985, even though it was built in the last few years. CRT monitors proudly displayed on the desks... pathetic! Looks like a cheap used car dealership. Salespeople not too knowledgeable, or else not interested in talking about their cars. I don't recommend spending any time there. At least in LA the F dealers will pretend to be interested in their cars.

Symbolic is the exact opposite... I have a wonderful time every time I go there. People work there who really love and appreciate the cars.

I think what makes the F dealer so boring is that all they have is late model Ferraris and Maseratis.

Symbolic always has lots of interesting cars of various marques. They have a wide selection of vintage cars, race cars, classics, exotics, and sometimes very rare and ultra-expensive cars just sitting around. It's a great place for car enthusiasts!

So you want a car dealership that has LCD monitors. Or do you want a car dealership that you can purchase a new car from. If you are looking for a used car dealership that is basically a museaum and has a lot of different cars for a long time, then that is symbolic. But, if you want to be able to buy a new car or get factory authorized service work done then FMSD is your place. They are not in the business of showing cars. They are in the business of selling cars.

Just a reminder but Symbolic in Los Angeles has closed and all their inventory was moved back down to La Jolla.

Try Bobileff Motor Car just north of Mira Mesa Blvd, between 805 and the 15, Top Gun Blvd (I think) is the street he is on. Gary is honest and has some muiras in his shop, some of them for sale and some vintage F-cars also.
