    Hi Steve.

    Thanks for message.

You will need to register with the Ferrari Owners' Site first; www.owners.ferrari.com

Then Vintage section > Spare Parts. The catalogs are interactive and there is a live stock check feature.

If there's anything you need in the meantime let me know.

    Cheers.

While cleaning my defrost lever, I accidently rubbed off some of the paint. Can I purchase a new "face plate" with the paint, or do I need to purchase the entire lever? Thanks.

I sure wish their was a way to beef up the plastic guts of these levers.

I've replaced the choke twice and left control lever once in two years, both having new cables! They're a poor design IMO

BTW, Jeff, still waiting for my door strike countersunk screws

Well 'm done. I had some time to kill during this rainy day but my frustration level is over. I have tried to register on the owner site but have been unable to. 1 wasted hour that I didn't want to spend. So unless you have an on-line catalog I will take my business elseware.

    Hi Steve.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with the Owners' Site.

The only way I can help is if you tell me exactly what happened and where the badness started during your registration process. This way I can help out or point your comments to the Factory.

Infact our online catalog IS part of the Owners' Site.

You are of course free to take your business where-ever you like but you will be missing a great feature with real-time stock checking and hard-to-beat prices, as a lot of the guys here will agree.

Even if you don't want to buy anything it should still be a relatively easy process registering so please let me know how we can help.

    Cheers.

It would not take a "username" , tried about 30 different ones but no luck. It like tring to hit the lottery. If there are that many names used then the site should assign them. Same with nickname and PW. Got to use the "kiss" principal here (keep it simple stupid).

I've been hand crafting internally reinforced lever bezels for about a year now. You might be interested in the following thread:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/256120/202534.html

For related threads, search for 'Unobtainium Supply' or 'mold' or 'molding' or 'wiper stalk' and 'adhesive'.

I concurr that the original design leaves a lot to be desired in the strength department. Especially when the cables start needing re-lubricating.
    Helpfully,
    Verell

    Steve,

I have spoken to the Factory about your registration problem.

They say you need to change your 'Nickname' not your username...

If you have more problems let me know and I'll send you a form to fill in manually and I'll pass it to the Factory.

    Regards.
