[DFW] Dyno Day -- May 29th!

You do realize that you're about 400 miles south of us? Not that you're not welcome, but that's a long drive for that. I'm sure if you found a friendly tuner shop in Houston you could get a bunch of your locals out....

The shop's having an import dyno day this weekend, I may go up to see how the place is laid out.

 

We could meet up. I'd shoot for a few minutes earlier, because there's always someone dragging in late. The alternative would be to meet at IHOP at I35 and Main for breakfast before, but that would be kinda early.

Directions to 2120 James St., Denton TX 76205

North on I35E to Denton
Exit Ft. Worth drive
Turn left under the freeway
Follow Ft. Worth drive past the Sonic and under the railroad track
Just after the railroad track, turn right on Massey
Massey goes a short distance and turns left. It becomes James at that point
The building is on the right, directly across from the trailer park
It's a large white cinderblock building with a gravel parking lot.

We have about 10-12 cars, so there's still room.

Here's the plan:

If you're on the east side of the world and want to go as a group, meet at Best Buy in Lewisville by 8:30 AM. We're pulling out at 8:45 sharp. Best Buy is at the intersection of 3040 and I35E.

If you want to meet up earlier for breakfast, Jano and I will be at the IHOP in Lewisville at Main and I35E at 7:30 AM.

The owner of the place has a function at 4:00 PM, so we will have to be out of there before then. Probably not an issue.

Well, I've only done this once before myself. If you're just worried about baseline and the car's in good shape, there's really nothing to it. The pull on mine was in 4th gear. Make sure it's got oil and water and good tires.

They'll drive it up on the lift and tie it down (on mine, they used loops around the lower A-arms) and slowly bring it up to speed, then gets on it in 4th gear, pulls to redline and then brings it back down again.

Slight modification: no breakfast at IHOP, Jano can't make that but will be at the Dyno Day a little late. So, meet at Best Buy and we'll roll up from there.

To get to the Best Buy, take I35E north. Just past 190 and the 121 bypass exit there's an exit for 3040. Exit there, Best Buy's on your right.

At last count I believe we had 5 Ferraris and 4 Panteras, and possibly an extra machine or two.
