I have the priviledge of driving a 355 tomorrow to an event that I was already planning on attending and bringing my 6-year-old son (see avatar). Having never driven one, do they come equipped with a passenger side airbag switch or disconnect? Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

    Brian

Yes, they do have an airbag.
No they do not have a switch to shut it off.

    Sorry :(

What about just removing the fuse?

Let me know if you find a fuse, I've been trying to disconnect mine also.

I don't think I'm going to mess with the fuse.

    There is no fuse.

But you can unplug the passenger side airbag. Yellow sleeved, 2 wire plug, on a pigtail coming from the rt. side of the airbag module under the dash.

However, as the system is not setup for this, the Airbag computor (seperate unit) will view this as a fault an light off the dash warning light....easily remidied by unscreweing the mini-bulb out of the back of the cluster.

I'd then assume that the system is disabled....but can't say for sure.

When you plug the airbag back in, the fault will remain until you visit the dealer to have it cleared....he has to use the SD-1 tester....there is no other way to clear it to my knowledge.

Is there anyway to reset airbag warning light without SD1? Maybe after all these years someone came up with a solution.

There are a couple of options but the cheapest is a few thousand dollars.
