    Hi Guys -

First, I am alive and well (somewhere in Asia) on a TDY with the US Navy (so you can sleep peacefully at night). I had a 2-day weekend leave so I flew down to Hong Kong to spend some time with my brother who lives here. He knows that I am a Ferrari tifosi so he took me to his buddy's house. Guess what I saw??

Commander, I am so glad you are willing to make these great sacrifices for our country and citizenry! :)

No really man, for all the weeks and months of duty you have been putting in since 9/11, this looks to be a well deserved "relaxation"!!! Horay! Be sure and "over indulge" as much as possible.

Somehow the shot of you in that one seems a tad contratictory to the term "Relaxation. heh heh .
Glad to see you getting some well needed rest!

You can get a good massage in Seattle too! But of course, much more "value" in hong kong ;)

Of course, I wouldn't know anything about that.... as an officer in the USN, on leave in a foreign country (china) I am technically a representative of my country, I have a code of conduct I need to uphold....

But HELL, this looks like international waters to me, doesn't it??

(I was going to post one more pix but I'd better not....I will get myself in trouble)

Standing in the gun implacement in SF bay last week, (similar installations on Galveston where I grew up) gazing out into the haze of the Pacific, was a good time to ponder the current situation. Our homeland was threatened.
    We responded.

How much nicer it was, when we could put away the big guns.
(The war ended before the San Francisco guns were installed.)
On the way back down the road from the lookout, I passed tourists of all nations, enjoying the day.

    Stay safe Navygakman!!!!
