    Here's a pic of the transfer case with the wheel off. Where is the transfer case fill plug?

    And here's a pic from the top. Some folks say it's visible from the top, but I have looked and looked. Also, it's supposed to be a hex bolt, and the only thing I can find is that bolt in the upper left corner of the transfer case which is a 7/8" bolt. What gives?

    Top left....in the eleven o'clock position, facing up.

    The one you identify as a 7/8" bolt is it. But be sure to use a 22mm socket!!!

    On my 87 328 that is a 12mm Allen socket....
