Interesting, I thought that that Fiorano was standard on the 575..

Terrific article. Thanks for posting. I must say, Edmunds really does do a good job in its reviews.

I think the last line in the review sums up why we are all here:

"Once again, a Ferrari is still a Ferrari; everything else…isn't."

the FHP was optional on the 2000+ 550s and is optional on the 575Ms.

i found edmunds long-term 550 reviews to be rather nit-picky, but they do seem more objective than many.

yet another review that says the FHP is a mandatory option - though they did NOT drive it, so that's in theory only.

i have to say, if i were ordering a 575M today, i'd be hard-pressed as to whether to order FHP since i've read reviews of cars WITH FHP that weren't that glowing, and as edmunds points out, the 575M without FHP clearly was to their liking once they sussed it - though they weren't keen on having to suss it - poor tykes!

    doody.

I loved that video. That color is hot on the 575M.

What is the wait for a new Maranello? Is it as long as the Modena's and Spider's?

^^I hope not soon, I never get tired of seeing new 575's at Ferrari of Denver, Ferrari is probably going to take forever to make a car that is more beautiful then the current 575M so lets hope the end result is worth it, Sometimes i wonder if the 575M was a stall method for Ferrari so the 550 wouldnt be around for over 8+ years.

I saw two brand spanking new 575M's on the showroom floor at Sheltons in Ft. lauderdale two weeks ago. Both ahd F1 transmissions though and neither had the FHP or the carbon fiber option interior.

For future owners, would you be so kind to elaborate on what makes it so unique?

    Cavallini,
I didn't use the word unique. What I meant to convey is that all around the 575 provides for me just what I want in a GT.
The lines are somewhat understated and yet beautiful and classic.
The interior is warm, roomy and comfortable.
    The torque is adrenaline-like,
The steering dead on accurate and responsive
The F1has been improved over previous Ferrari F1's
The carbon fibre interior adds a touch of richness (especially at $8850 extra)
The handling is not tossable like the 360 but it's a GT carand not a track machine.
    And it's a FERRARI V12!

There was also a 575 in Silver with modular wheels reviewed on Car and Driver Television, that aired last week in Los Angeles. :)

They gave the car a huge thumbs up, and kept doing burn outs in in it. The also kept calling it the "muscle car" ferrari. The sound at WOT was rather intoxicating!
