    Hello again Ferrari Gurus,
    Question Please:
I recently received the O.E. tie-bands (metal) for the air filter canister that connect the large accordian style flexhose from the air filter canister to the right rear fender duct (for carb. fresh air). My question is; does any one know how they fit, or better yet; could anyone send/e-mail through this chat, a picture of how they fit? I'd sure appreciate it!!
    Thank you,
    Chris.

I'm not sure what the OE clamps look like. Mine are giant worm drive stainless hose clamps. They simply wrap around the bellows at each end.

Look up Steven Rochelin in the members and send your request to him. He has a set of bands that I'm pretty certain are properly installed. He also takes very good photos.

    Chris-

The O.E. band is confusing, but if you think about it long enough you'll figure it out.

If you can't, mail me privately, and I'll try and put it into words.

    4reGT4, your clamps aren't O.E.

I replaced all four bands on my 308 with standard #72 stainless steel clamps from Lowes. You have to compress and shape them into ovals to fit the ducts. They look good.

Put the old clamps in the used parts box.

Hey Darolls and all the other Gentlemen that responded:
Thank you for the kind reply!
The bands that I have are actually O.E., after I received them I visted my local Ferrai Dealer and he (Parts Mgr.) confirmed their authenticity.
They have a large band that secures by a cotter-pin arrangement.
Please, would anyone have a pic of how they fasten?
    Thank you again, Chris.

    Chris, its not that hard...
Just slide the O.E. tie-bands over the ends of the accordian style flexhose.
Then put the accordian style flexhose back on the air intake,
    and then on the airbox.
Have the little turnbuckles aligned with the rear of the car,
    facing left and right.
    Tighten.
