I have an old Volvo that I'd like to donate to some sort of charity or foundation rather than sell it. How would I go about doing this? Would I simply call up a local red cross and they'd come tow it or drive it away, or do I have to go deliver it?

    Thanks in advance

I know the Salvation Army is always accepting cars as donations. I think they'll come pick it up, but I'm not sure.

BDog..Closer to home, you may have a friend that may want this car. If its worth $900 (lets say), give it to a friend and have them pay you what your tax benny would be (lets say 25%, so you can sell the car to a needy friend for $225.
