    Anyone have a line on an ashtray for a 2001 550? A dealer supplied one will cost ~$365 and I was wondering if this cost could be reduced. Thanks.

    Check some of Fiat suppliers, it MAY be the same ashtray!!!

    A passenger picked on the paint of my ashtray. The result was the paint pulled off of it. Now I have a bare metal spot on it. If you find somewhere to get one other than a dealer, please post.

    I did shoot him after hanging him.

    fyi/fwiw - they come up on ebay every now and then (not sure why).

    i'd love a replacement unit for that spot that just provides a bit of extra storage (eg: porsche has the "non-smokers kit" for the 996s which is a nice option). of course everyobdy at FSpA and FNA apparently smokes like chimneys :) so this isn't likely high on anybody's list!

    I had the ashtray in my 360 replaced under warranty. Yes, a metal lid and some plastic bits cost almost 400 bucks.

    Bought one for my 360 (same one as 550 I think) for about $120 i think, brand new.

    Sorry, it forgot to mention. It was on eBay, but the seller turned out to be a FerrariChat sponsor. Sodacom's I think? Not 100% sure.

    Thanks. I did find the ashtray on Sodacom at $330. fits both the 360 & 550. $360 for an ashtray. A spot of bleck paint may help. Anyway, my car has bigger problems on its looks than the ashtray. I still need my dash re-covered in leather.

    Ernesto; I have seen Sodacom's ebay auctions for the same. I think they start at $25 or something, so your $120 doesn't surprise me one bit.
