I found a bunch of these orange cones today (don't ask me where) and thought it would be a good idea to bring them to the Christmas party for those of us that are looking for some additional excitement after dinner.

I was thinking an autocross course in the parking garage beneath the Key Bank Building would be a challenge. Mulitple levels, hairpin turns and an area at each end to practice 180 degree reversals.

    Sound like fun?

I think many Ferraris with Tubis installed would be a good thing.

    Albert,

You're getting a full size Stradale very soon so no need for that. A R/C Enzo would be nice though.

    Dave,
Thanks for bringing a donation! I've been rounding up prizes (went to Griot's Garage today for freebies) for the party. A Speedgear shipment just arrived and I'm hitting up FoS for donations this week too. The party is going to be HUGE. 75 people confirmed!

    Willis,
Thank you! You can bring something if you like, but it's not like the club has a lack of funds or prizes... Our members should be WINNING prizes... not having to bring them.... ;)

I should have a ton of stuff to give out on Friday. It looks like the event may be totally -SOLD OUT-. We are now at 77 confirmed and the room can only handle 80.

Great turnout! Met a few new members too. Food was good but the company was much better. A facinating presentation by Jim Clark, who owns the most original 166 spyder corsa, a family heirloom. I thought it was funny when Jim won the Barbie R/C Ferrari in the raffle then exclaimed "Now I have TWO Ferraris!"

Unfortunately for me, I didn't win anything in the raffle this year. :(

That 166 spyder corsa is awesome. Can't believe how much she's appreciated since new at only $3,400 (?) in '48. That investment has faired well.

Will make sure to bring my new backpack won in the raffle to Shanghai next year!
