I am looking to get some black rivets - Anyone know of a hardware store I can get them at? If not, a good internet site? Thanks
Have never seen colored rivits being sold. I've always used spray paint. If you're using steel rivits, then check out Eastwood's Metal Blackening System Item No. - 10113 Z http://www.eastwoodcompany.com/itemdy01.aspT1=10113+Z&Dep_Key1=spc
Thanks Verell - I have found black rivets by searching google.com I was just hoping to find them locally so that I could get them sooner! Spray paint may be the way to go - Thanks! That link didn't work for me by the way.
Not sure if this will help but if you check the midyear corvette suppliers (www.licorvette.com) dash panel side tab mounting rivets were black (almost an anodized-like finish). When "plunger" is broken off during application exposed end is silver. May have some spares at home if anyone would like a picture? Carl
Instead of buying Eastwoods blackining stuff I use my gun blueing solution. Works killer. Won't work on aluminum or stainless
