D.C. Autocraft gets my vote. Excellent jobs on two black Jags belonging to my friends and they will do a little work for me in the next couple weeks respraying bumpers, taking out the door dings, and pulling a dent from around my half shattered light cluster someone left me the week before last, presents from thoughtless individuals.

I'm taking a couple days off next week to take it to them. The quality of work really is top notch, not just for minor stuff, but for serious accident work and full resprays.

well i know many body shops..so that is really not a problem

have any of you got your moldings painted..and it has stayed nice for a few years?

the reason i ask is..the wheel flares on the mini are a kind of plastic that if painted usually chips away

i am looking to get them gloss black painted.and thus need a reputable body shop that can do a good job so they wont chip

so waht i need done is

    1) paint a full new bumper (that comes with the aero kit)

    2) paint the side skirts red

    3) i want to paint the wheel flares ( and the bottom black part of the rear bumper) GLoss black

you can see it done in this pic

i am trying to add pics to show you but the pics are too big

    1) can you PM me your email so i can send you directly?
    my email is [email protected]

here are some pics from a website that you can see.

diff between the website pics and my car is that i am NOT getting the rear bumper painted (i am keeping my stock one)

one needs to be careful in painting the arches because they are a plastic type product thus flex agent needs to be added i am told.

the aero side skirts and front bumper are all primered..so they are ready to paint.

    My turn... :)

    - Dent pulled out
    - Small chips touched up, they are the size of a bad rock chip, several in a line at point of impact
    - Scrape wet sanded out
    - Replacement cluster fitted (I found one for free, it has a scrape on it, but, its $200 I don't need to spend)
    - Try to avoid repainted fender

I like the stock rims a lot.

I test drove the cooper a few months ago - Was thinking of getting one for the wife (a car that I could still have fun driving).

I drove the regular version which was an automatic and was pretty boring & then I drove the S - Big difference - The S was a lot of fun. By the time I got back, the dealer was waiting for me as he got some calls about my driving! lol I wasn't even driving that bad.

    :)

Haha - You have every set of rims! I think I like that first stock photo the best still.

Would love to meet you sometime - You should make it out to Crystal Cove sometime if you can - I have seen several minis there before - Even one with the John Cooper Works package.

i have had 7 sets of rims on this car in 9 months of ownership :D

but i would rather not bore you witih more pictures ;)

i would love to go to crystal cove, but i feel not having a P car or F car really doesnt allow be to mix in such a crowd.

i mean the crown jewel in my arsenal is a lexus sc300 single turbo (dont ask how many sets of rims on that car LMAO )

as far as the JCW package goes, i thought about it, but currently am awaiting the DINAN stage 2 coming out in march. :)

7 sets of rims! wow. What a fanatic! :)
Btw, don't feel like the mini is out of place at all... this is what's so great about the CC saturdays...it attracts any and all types of cars. I've seen 60's style austin Mini's as well! Come one, come all!

Meet us in Irvine at 6:30am... we'll all go together... no need to feel out of place.
