Mikey: Based on the lack of comment to my post, one would ascertain that the info had been posted a priori. We are a little more subtle than perhaps what you are accustomed.
Lawrence, very interesting site. Mikey, I'm trying to understand why you would make such a post. I hope this rudeness is not indicative of your typical style.
After the rather warm reception I received from other members here. I thought I was being a "typical" f-chatter. I was, let's see if I remember... 1. Accused of being someone else. 2. I asked to attend a drive event in So Cal was accused of being someone else and not "allowed" to attend while other chat members were inviting everyone else. 3. accused of NOT living in PVE. To the point of other chat members being asked if I lived in the area or if they had seen me around. So to answer your question. Yes, This is my "typical style" while on this forum.
Myh question is how do thjey know for sure how much HP that thing makes. You obviously cant dyno a thing like that. Eh, i guess they have their math worked out pretty well.
A few suggestions from an objective third party: Lawrence: 1. Search before you post. 2. Grow some thicker skin. This isn't a day care center, you know. Mikey: 1. Stop playing the role of SARS-infected red-headed unwanted stepchild. It's getting annoying. 2. Don't talk trash if you're not good at it. Il Commenadatore
Wow, this thread has a twist to it... Lawrence, nice find- unlike others, i've not yet seen that site or ever heard of that engine, period... To put it bluntly, it's pretty f_cking big...! Where do you bring something like that for an oil change...? (Ok, ok, no more lame engine jokes from me, i can this will accumulate a lot, as it is...) Mikey, there's a reason people are so skeptical of new people; not your fault, though... i'm sorry you're having a rough time being new here; it really shouldn't be that way... Welcome to FerrariChat...
Mikey, Always remember this post. If I were in your shoes...I would consider a "Welcome aboard" from DES more of an honor than an invitation to dinner at the White House! DL Goodwill Ambassador to the House of...well... DL
It has just been announced the a supercharged version of this engine will power the new Mercedes SLR 85 sedan. Although critics of the car will point to it's 40,000lbs weight the new AMG tuned engine is expected to accelerate the luxo-barge to 60mph in a mere 3.5 seconds.
If you think the motor itself is big just imagine the battery and starter motor required to crank the thing over on a cold day. Rob Guess "The Other Rob"
