Jerry- I can dirve a stick like a hot knife through butter. I would LOVE to get a few pictures behind the wheel just to show up our buddy Jordan! I am so jelous that he got to drive Dom's F-car! I would have skipped my trip just to see the "permagrin" on his face. Just the thought makes me grin! Hope to see the finished product in person at CC soon!

LOL ;-) Jerry, you are one hell of a guy!

We went to Ferrari of Denver for a few hours on our trip and looked over a 1995 F355 (unfortunately not my color) but the salesman took us into the shop to see another F355 being serviced with the engine and drivetrain on a stand. I took a bunch of photos including the belt replacement and a shot of one bank of cylinders without the head on. A lot of photos of other F-cars too. Once the photos are developed, I'll post them.

    -Jay.

Nice - I love the 355's also - Would have been my choice had it not been for the house purchase - Oh well, I'll keep saving - Maybe someday.

What color combo do you want? Not sure what I would want on that car - But I am easily pleased. :)

My wife and I both like the Black exterior F355B with any color interior except red.

I picked up a Minichamps model of this car while on vacation. It serves as motivation. It has great scale detail!

BEAUTIFUL transformation. I have one question for you. The aluminum pedals, do they completely replace the old ones or go over them? If so any drilling required? I have a 308 qv.

I think the 308 is the same as the 328 for the pedals :

The brake pedal rubber cover slips off & then you drill into the metal underneath.

Same goes for the Clutch pedal.

My accelerator pedal didn't have a covering (I think this is normal). I just drilled into the existing pedal to fasten the accelerator.

The old rubber dead pedal was sewn into the old carpet. Just undo the stitching and put back the old carpet (this is what I did before I got the new carpet) - My old carpet wasn't fastened very well, so it was easy to remove from the car. Then you drill into the metal that exists under the dead pedal.

There is a write up of the pedal install by Paul Hill here :

first of all: wonderful car, great work,

second of all: are you a professional mechanic? I mean you need a lot of experience to build up such a gorgeous car!

    thanks!

I and those that know me are having a good laugh right now! :)

I'm an accountant who has only had new cars in the past & I have never worked on anything before. When I got this car, I just thought the interior could use some freshining up. I wanted to re-dye the seats (before this car, I had never even heard of such a thing) and it just turned into redoing the seats, carpet, back wool, all the leather, etc.

I guess I just had a lot of patience & a go for it attitude. I can definitely say that without F-Chat, I never would have done any of this. I love this site & the people on it!

When real mechanical things go wrong, I take it to a mechanic, or if it is a smaller problem (headlights won't go up, have to figure out ignition wiring) I turn to local F-chatters that are great & more than willing to help (thanks Rick, Carl, and Jay!!).

Also, biggest thanks to Rob Lay for putting in so much work to make this such a great community of owners and enthusiasts.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words!

    No problem.

The engine is great - I'll dig up a pic of it.

When I bought the car, it was in need of the 30K service, so I had that done a few months ago, after which, I had a small oil leak fixed. Since then, everything has been fine & it runs strong! :)
