Didn't we just take this one a few months back? A couple of the questions looked familiar. Last time I think I got 139, this time was 142. I guess I did remember some of the answers. :)

I have indeed been subjected to a military IQ assessment and the online versions floating around are somewhat easier. On average you could expect your FIRST time taking the test and then adjusted down about 5-8 points, a proper indication of IQ.

    Military IQ assessment: 131
    Online: 142

Anything above a 130 puts you in the top 3% (97th percentile) in the nation.

took the first emode one a few days ago and rushed through it to get a 135. I think thats a little optimistic though. I think im more around 130 even.
I would wager money that of all car related forums, this one is not only one of the most intelligent. If there were an asteroid heading towards earth, and only so many people could be saved to start a new civilization, the people on this board (minus the lawyers, j/k) should be the first choice. We'd have doctors, insurance (DES), engineers, builders, religious people, jerks....

I got a 135. I read somewhere that Einstein had a 160, and there are a few people in the world that have IQ's near 200.

IQ of 200 is a fine line between genius and insanity...

    youre in pretty good shape.

I tried to find Mark E's post about why so many people seem like complete idiots to those of us with IQ's >130 on the old board, but was unsuccessful. His theory really made sense. I dont want to try to summarize it because i dont want to butcher it into complete nonsense. On that note, i'll go look for it some more.

    Found it

"If you ever wondered how there could possibly be SOOOO many stupid people in the world, here’s an analysis I put together.

An IQ of 100 is average, with normal distribution, so 50% above 50% below. Again by definition the normal range is 85-115, with below 85 retarded and above 115 gifted, this accounts for 68% of the population, +/- one standard deviation. Also, below 70 is severally retarded and above 130 are brilliant, each 13.5% of the population. So, a perfectly average person with an IQ of 100 sees a person 15 point below them as retarded and 30 points below them an severely retarded. Therefore a person standing above 130 would see anyone with an IQ of 100 or less as severely retarded, or 50% of the population. They would see anyone at 115 or below as retarded, or 84% of the population. Almost 9 out of 10. "
