    Hi guys,

So I've finally removed my carbs! The closest I've ever been to them, feels great.

I'm sending them away to Pierce Manifolds to be rebuilt.

Any special instructions that I should tell the rebuilder? Any thing in particular a solid rebuild job would have (sealants, etc.) that a reputable rebuilder might not think to replace?

Thanks... Will report back here when they're finished!

    --Mike

P.S. I will have before/after photos to post.

No one knows the carbs any better than Pierce. They are really good.
Can't wait to see the photos!

For those who don't know, the carbs used on these cars (well, the Boxer BB at least) are the same ones used on some Porsches. I have a rebuild chapter on these in "101 Projects for your Porsche 911." Rebuilding carburetors is probably one of the easiest projects that you can do on your car...

Ditto what's stated by Russ. I think you are in great hands with Pierce. Mike and the others are very qualified to do the job.

If you don't want to tackle it yourself, then Pierce is as good as it's gonna get.

My carbs are there now. You don't have to tell them anything. They are the king on these Webers. They will tell you what they need. I have complete faith in them.
