There have been a bunch of posts about how to mount fire extinguishers so while I had mine out for a recharge, I thought I would post some pictures of how I mounted mine. Any machine shop would be able to make the pillow blocks in short order. I have a lathe and mill so it was a piece of cake for me.
The extinguisher mounts directly to the seat adjustment pull bar, so to adjust the seat you lift up on the whole extinguisher. There are no holes drilled in the car, and it is completely removable without a trace it was ever there.
It’s been in place for four years now without any problems of being in the way, or difficulties moving the seat.
BWY, It's a 355, but should be doable in any model with a pull bar seat adjustment.

It's a very clean installation. I'll be looking forward doing the same.

Do you accept orders by the way?

Any recommendations for types of extinguisers? All the kinds I'm seeing in auto stoes have some kind of powder and I know I don't want to be cleaning this off a motor. Bill Pollard showed me one for about $30, but I forget the type. Bill, are you here?
