81 --Last shot! This picture really made my day. As I pulled in with the 328 we went right past Rick in his F40 and he gave me a smile What a day! Thanks again everybody! I
Awesome picks Jordan. It sure looked like you had ALOT of fun . Man over 3,000 posts already! I remember just a few weeks ago you had 2,500. Whats your secret? David
LOL David, the secret is posting 82 photos instead of 10 of my favorites Seems I have done that for the past few events. This morning was great; I had a blast! Thanks to your Dad, Jay had a great time as well! Hey, get better soon!
Jordan, Great pictures. A couple of time I went to get my 288 cause a space opened up, by the time I got there it filled up. I got pissed off and left. I would have liked to stay a little longer. Next time!!!!!!
ag512bbi - Next time take my space!! Nobody cares about the 328 - Take my offer next time - I would have gladly gave up my stop to stare at that beautiful 288!!!! That was my favorite car I have ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous - Tell me when you sell it so that I can sell my house! lol Great pictures Jordan - Glad the one with Rick in his F40 came out!!! Too cool.
Look at picture # 13 - I am pretty sure that is when the 288 rolled up - Look at all the smiling faces!
Great pictures as always, Jordan! Wish we have larger, regular events like that up here in the Northwest. The rain up here has a way to deter all but the few diehards to bring their cars out. Did Dan Gurney ride his Alligator to the event?
Thanks Willis! believe it or not, I would give anything to be in the Northwest climate right now. California winters suck. "Cold" in the morning and hot all day. I believe Dan Gurney did ride his Alligator to the event...there was one there but I didnt get a shot of it. Im building up my confidence to go up and talk to him next time he is there
Yes, Dan Gurney did ride his Alligator, in full leather, as always. Great turnout yestderday. The star of the show (for me) was the 100 point 275 GTB/4 with the trailer hitch. This gentleman, a local in our town, uses the 275 as a "mule" to haul his motorcycles to the desert. Uses it frequently for this purpose, and was heading to the mountains (in the car) when I saw him at the post office last week. I asked him to bring it to Crystal Cove for yesterday's coffee. Jordan - Dan is a very nice man. I took a photograph of him in the pits at Watkins Glen in an F1 car in 1968. I showed it to him a few weeks ago at Crystal Cove, and he found a pen to autograph it for me. Amen - next time ask one of us to save a space for you while you run to get your car. Jim S.
I am sorry for the late post I just drove back from AZ. I wish to thank Ron, Jerry and Jeffery and Jordan for their tremendous generosity in letting me drive TWO, count 'em TWO Ferraris in one day. And to top it off, Jeffery took me for the ride of my life in his F355 while chasing down some Vipers along PCH. It was a truly amazing day and I am in your debt. I simply can't thank you gentlemen enough!!!! What a day! Ferrari Chatters ROCK!!! I have some pretty awesome video that some of the So.Cal F-Chatters may enjoy. If someone has a PC that can convert analog video to MPEG3s please e-mail me and I will try to figure something out.
Ow man...what an awsome pics!! You must now have had the second best weekend of you life...in a row And that in december...here all the cars are gone...in garages etc. I don't see anything nice driving anymore...but...I still have this forum and your pics
Thanks ForzaFerrari! Your entirely right...Two best weekends of my life back to back! Im very fortunate!
Jordan, you're my hero... No one else DEServes to drive a Ferrari more than you; congratulations, my friend, you are truly the man. Jerry, you're a real, class act. Congratulations to you, as well, for knowing the true spirit of what it is to be an enthusiast and for so selflessly sharing your good fortune with others. Great pictures, folks; next time i'm out there, i just HAVE to go to Crystal Cove...
DES, next time your in town let me know so I can take you for a spin my 355. Jeffrey, from the photos of your 355 on the Yellow Car thread it is stunning, Rob was right it looks magnificent. I love those wheels you have on there.
Jordan, NW winters come in four flavors; Cold in the morning and cold all day Raining in the morning and raining all day Cold/Raining in the morning Cold/Raining all day. Dry all day once every 45 days or so. Right now it gets dark at 4:30 in the afternoon and doesn't get light until almost 9:00 am "Moss-out' applied to roof of car every 60 days. Still want to trade? ;-) DJ
Jerry, Senna - thanks...! Senna, i would LOVE a ride in your 355; i'll definitely take you up on that the next time i'm out there...
Jordan - wow! Had a big smile on my face for you just going through the photos after reading your description. Jerry - you rock! The 328 looks just gorgeous and I'm still so impressed with all the work you put into it...as DES said, a class act... That 288 is jaw-dropping! I've never seen one in real life - I'm gonna have to make it down to CC one of these days. We really have a terrific group of SoCal F-chatters Cheers, ~C
