Not a day goes by when I don't think about/worry about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. There are a lot of big brains on FChat and a lot of divergent, yet valued opinions. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the Geneva Accord.

For those that may not have been following the story, a few links for background reading:

    Kds,

If you can, I'd like to know why you think that. You may actually be a bigger cynic than me (which is pretty hard to do).

I'm personally frustrated because moderates on both sides have hammered out something that could actually end the endless fiasco that is daily life over there, but the extremists on both sides refuse to even acknowledge the proposal.

Interestingly, the extreme right in Israel and the militants among the Palestinians are both convinced that they're giving up too much in the Geneva Accord! Since both statements can't really be true, the moderates must be on to something.

Well...since you asked. And for relevance sake, I am not Jewish....I'm an athiest. Up to 9/11.....I supported neither side in this debate.

What is it.........a 2,000+ year old conflict at least ?

The Arab/Muslim world has finally come to accept that direct military action will never work against Israeli military power.

I believe that any and all recent or future peace treaties will merely be attempts to strip Israel of power thru a "death by 1,000 cuts" method.
When this policy is combined with state sanctioned Arab/Muslim terrorism coupled with Arab/Muslim UN denials of same and growing worldwide anti-semitism you can see the course of action they are proceeding with.

Unfortunately, it won't be over until one side ceases to exist in it's totality IMHO.
