Dan - I agree that he was real piece of work.

But I think (not sure though) the purpose of including it was to show what a screwed up life most of these guys lead. Nothing but self-delusion and insecurity. When they caught up with him in LA, I thought that he was about five minutes away from a complete breakdown.

I understand - I just wish it focused more on Seinfeld himself.

IMHO, Stan Laurel was the funniest man who ever lived. Curley Howard is #2. When I was a kid, Steve Allen had me rolling on the floor...funniest stuff I had seen up to that point in my young life. The next rolling on the floor funny stuff was seeing Fawlty Towers for the first time, and the 2nd and 3rd times too!

Bruce is right, Richard Pryor in his prime was brilliant. I remember buying his cassettes and lauging through long car trips.

Also like Chris Rock, Eddie Izzard is a kick.

    My favorites are:

    W. C. Fields, Dennis Miller & my old boss (When he asked me to do something his way, I told him he must be kidding... I guess that's why I don't work there anymore... :) )

I agree. I have to say I was VERY disapointed in that movie. Upon renting it, I thought you would get to see some full Jerry Seinfeld acts. The best part was the peice he did on Letterman, which was in the extra features.

The funniest part that had to do with Orely, or whatever his name was, was when that chick interupted his joke and asked if he was gay, he was fuming after that! lol

I just read an article on Eddie Izzard and can't wait to see his work.

For stand-up, Nick DiPaulo (sp?) has had me laughing so hard I couldn't get any air back in.
